Genymphas B. Higgs is a technical consultant with a Biomedical Engineering PhD and Epidemiology MS from Drexel University. His understanding of both engineering principles and public health considerations has guided numerous domestic and international companies in successfully introducing innovative medical devices to market. As a part of the FDA’s Medical Device Epidemiology Network (MDEpiNet), he coordinated an institutional partnership that explored the potential of retrieval analysis as a source of real-world data for medical device performance evaluation and regulatory considerations.

Genymphas also has expertise in human subjects research and has coordinated several multi-million dollar high-throughput clinical studies, which have been critical for developing health algorithms for wearable tech. His research experience has included health economics assessments on the costs of post-surgical complications and he has conducted pivotal studies on patient adoption of smart technologies for post-surgical care.
